I had a great great stay at Jw Cusco. Stayed total 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every night. This is a beautiful property with tons of character & history. But most importantly service level is top notch. I accidently left my laptop charger in the room and flew to Lima. JW Cusco offered to send the charger to JW Lima without any cost to me! This is beyond expectation and I just wished I could personally THANK JW Cusco staffs!

Beautiful historical hotel, they have amazing breakfast and the staff are lovely.

One thing you should be aware is the sewage smell is strong in the rooms make sure the ac is on all the time to avoid it.

Make sure to get photo with baby alpaca?

Fantastic hotel with a beautiful courtyard
and a delightful breakfast that was included with my room.
Spa services were great, but they should
have specified that plunge pools and
saunas must be reserved ahead of time. I
booked a massage two weeks prior arrival
and wasn't informed that an additional
reservation was needed to use pools/
saunas.
During my check out I realized they were
including 10% gratuity on services which was not specified earlier. As a result I was tipping 20% on top of the amount that had already 10% included. That felt a little misleading.

Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Cusco. The oxygenated rooms are so helpful for adjusting to the altitude. Highly recommend the convent tour offered to guests, Jesus was a wonderful guide who shared his deep knowledge of the hotel’s history.

Our two-night stay here was a flawless experience in every way. The building itself is incredible, recently reconstructed and expanded from an Augustinian convent built atop the ruins of an Incan palace (take the historical tour, it's worth it). Despite the ancient history, all the modern touches required (elevators, lighting, AC, etc.) feel brand new.

The location is optimal, right in the central historical district. Take more than a night in Cusco if you can, it's worth it both for the town itself and to spend longer at this hotel.

A range of lovely top-notch amenities are provided (Pisco sour class, taking pictures with a baby alpaca). The food is excellent, authentically local with a touch of creativity.

The service is world-class - from the bellhops to the check-in process to room service, everything is conducted with care and love and little touches that make a huge differences. I travel extensively and have not seen better service anywhere else in the world.

Big thank you to the wonderful staff who made this such a memorable experience!

The best hotel in Cusco! Such a beautiful hotel, located in the best area of town near the main square, and with the absolute nicest people! The rooms are very modern and clean, the courtyard is stunning, and the hotel dining options were all delicious. I also can’t express how kind, helpful, and thoughtful the entire staff was throughout our stay. We had so many questions about places to go, logistics with our travel, etc.and everyone we spoke to went above and beyond to answer our questions and make sure we had everything we needed.

Robooo

Spent 50000 points and the hotel is nice with good service. The problem is that the staff has a lot of room to improve communications with incoming guests so they do not lose the amenities included in their rates. For instance, everybody knows covid has pushed hotels to mantain new policies for guests but including calendar availability of spa, pool, and so on would be very nice and proctive rather than just saying "reservations needed"

Incredible hotel stay! A top Marriott property for me and we have spent 100+ days in Marriott in the past. The hospitality is top notch in the world! Thank you to Daysi and the breakfast team, it was truly an incredible feast! Also to Benji at the front desk, thank you for the warm welcome. Than you do Danny for the incredible Pisco class, best Pisco Sour in Peru! I would highly recommend this for a 2+ night stay. We had 2 nights and I wish we had one more!

This hotel was pointed out to me by one of my tour guides as Cusco's newest 5-star hotel developed from a colonial convent. I was pleased to hear that as we were to stay there for two nights when we got back from Machu Picchu.
When we arrived at the hotel after a long train ride but hyped from having been to Machu Picchu, we were greeted in a cold and drafty reception area by very loud and not at all pleasant singing that was going on in the bar. Along with the glass partion, two face masks and a tentative command of English together made the receptionist all but unintelligible. When we arrived to our third floor room we could hear the thump thump thump from bar. This did not bode well.
The receptionist informed us that we had been upgraded to the best room in the hotel and so i will judge it accordingly. The room was small and crammed with furniture. It had a nice balcony that faced the inner courtyard but it was partioned off by a lattice and some vine from the other very same balconies on either side.
The amenities were nothing special. The robes were stiff and scratchy and the slippers were small and threadbare. The coffee maker was one of those environmentally toxic pod machines that was flashing a blue light that might be indicating it was being held hostage and the light was so bright that it could be a beacon to exoplanets in the next galaxy so I had to unplug it. Why it was situated in the closet area is a mystery. And speaking of lighting, the room was dark. Only the bed wall had any lights so we couldn't see our luggage on the opposite wall where the luggage stands were without casting a dark shadow on them.
Like everything else, the bathroom was small. There was hardly any counter space and what little it had was cluttered with wooden boxes filled with typical hotel toiletries- again, nothing special. I am 6' and 186# and the glass shower stall was claustrophobic. The water pressure was only acceptable. The hair dryer was heafty and powerful but, and this is not a complaint specific to this place, why do hotels insist on doing macrame with the hairdryer cord? The toilet was so tall that I had to sit with my feet toes down to avoid an embolism in my legs. The safe was in the closet floor and so low that I had to kneel down to set up the code only to have it not work.
The Bed! I know the hotel was once a convent but I don't think they needed to bring monastic mortification of the flesh to their guests. It was like sleeping on an oak board wrapped in a thin layer of batting. The pillows were so formless that by the time I was awakened at 2 AM with pressure point pain it had deflated to an eighth of its bedtime height. Even my partner who likes a firm bed though that this was too much.

The included breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and was very good. The people working in the hotel were competent and provided acceptable service but not 5-star service.

I don't know how hotel stars are awarded but I can only assume that the people granting them are fond of presents. Even if this were the JW Marriott's best room, which I'm doubtful of, in a five star hotel ALL the rooms should meet the 5 star level not just some.

Such an amazing hotel. We stayed 3 total nights. The rooms are very comfortable. The hotel restaurant is very nice. Our group had to pick our menu two weeks in advanced. I was tired of getting the same options and asked one evening if I could just get 3 appetizers instead of the main course and dessert. They were totally fine with that and I was glad, because the shrimp appetizer was so amazing. Breakfast is also very good. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the surroundings are just amazing.

The property is beautiful with preserved ruins. Customer service is amazing! They are serious about making your stay special! Breakfast buffet included an omelette, waffle, and pancake station with beautiful fruit, granola, Peruvian specialities, variety of freshly squeezed juices and more. The decor of the hotel is amazing and very proud of Marriott for preserving the history of the hotel. We toured the hotel (which used to be a convent) with, ironically, Jesus. He did a wonderful job giving the history of the hotel and showing hidden treasures within. Highly recommend!
